Greenwich Academy is proud to announce that alumna Radhika Jones '90, editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair, will deliver the graduation address at Greenwich Academy's 192nd commencement on Thursday, May 23.

Ms. Jones is the fifth editor of Vanity Fair since its modern revival in 1983. She previously held senior editorial roles at The New York Times, Time, and The Paris Review. She also was the managing editor at Grand Street, an editor at Artforum, and the arts editor of The Moscow Times, where she began her career.

Ms. Jones excelled as a student at Greenwich Academy and was deeply involved in Daedalus, GA's award-winning art and literary magazine. She received a B.A. in English at Harvard University. She went on to pursue her Ph.D. in English and comparative literature from Columbia University, where she has also taught courses in writing and literature.

"Radhika Jones is a fantastic role model for the Class of 2019 and all students at Greenwich Academy," said Head of School Molly King, "She took advantage of every opportunity while she was a student here and that has been a defining feature of her subsequent experiences. A smart leader and effective community builder, Ms. Jones has received rave reviews in her current role as editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair. She certainly has a fan in me and we are all so excited that she is going to be GA's commencement speaker this year."
