Greenwich Academy was all over New England this weekend and found success just about everywhere they traveled!
Though the cross country team did not beat Loomis in their on-the-road dual meet, they ran several PRs. This timing bodes well for our harriers as the team prepares for the FAA Championship race to be held October 29th at Waveny Park.
The Head of the Charles Regatta has over 11,000 rowers competing each year. GA sent a 4 and 8 with 85 boats in each event. The Gators had impressive finishes -- the 4 placed 19th while the 8 was 28th -- each boat racing qualifying times for 2019. Also of note, GA alumna and former coach, Natalie Reynolds won the women's club singles event!
GA's field hockey team came back from a 2-goal deficit stunning an unbeaten Sacred Heart team on their home turf. Unquestionably this was the Gators biggest win of the season! One more FAA victory will secure the title for GA.
Soccer took to the road and notched a 2-0 win over Kent. An important New England win, the Gators have two critical matches this week -- Loomis on Wednesday and St. Luke's Saturday.
While our volleyball team did not beat Taft, they were only one of three schools to get a game off of the Rhinos. GA hosts Greens Farms today for what could be the FAA title!
