WELCOME GA'S NEW SPORTS PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR

“We’re thrilled to welcome Brett Longobucco to our team here at Greenwich Academy! His dynamic blend of expertise, enthusiasm and passion for sports performance, combined with his ability to connect with students, will have an immediate and lasting impact on our campus!”

Director of Athletics Caitlin Moore

Brett Longobucco brings more than a decade of strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level, including leadership roles at Harvard, University of Miami, Castleton State, University of Mary Washington and most recently as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at New York University. He has spent the last five years at NYU working directly with four National Championship teams and over two dozen individual National Champions. Brett is a certified NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sport Performance Coach and a Registered Yoga Teacher.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the exceptional staff and community at Greenwich Academy. I would like to sincerely thank Head of School Margaret Hazlett and Director of Athletics Caitlin Moore for their forward-thinking leadership and for recognizing the value this role will bring not only to Greenwich Academy Athletics, but to the overall student experience.

I am deeply passionate about the personal growth that occurs through athletic participation. Athletics provide a powerful environment to develop confidence, resilience, discipline, and leadership, and I believe there is no better vehicle to support that development than a comprehensive sports performance program. I am excited to get on campus and begin collaborating with coaches, administrators, and students to help build a culture that prioritizes long-term development, health, and excellence, while empowering student-athletes to perform at their best in all aspects of their lives.”
