The Box Truck Film

This year GA is celebrating Earth Day with a screening of The Box Truck Film: Building A Reuseful Home followed by a Q&A session with the film’s directors and box truck builders Alex Eaves and Derek Diedricksen.

Leaders in the tiny house movement, Eaves and Diedricksen have added to the eco equation: They transformed a 17-foot moving truck into a 98-square-foot house and mobile education center using almost entirely reused, repurposed, and reclaimed materials. This film documents their innovative, resourceful, at times hilarious “triumph over junk.”

  • Who: Everyone! This event is open to the public—we welcome the GA community and all eco-enthusiasts.

  • When: Thu Apr 3

  • Time: 5:30 PM - Reception (including refreshments)

              6:00 PM - Film screening
  • Where: Massey Theater @ Greenwich Academy

GA is proudly sponsoring the Reuse Box Truck’s participation in the Waste Free Greenwich's 4th annual ReThink Waste Fair at Christ Church Greenwich. Stop by the fair to meet reuse expert Alex Eaves and learn how this little house and education center employed reuse for every step of the construction process—from the truck and building materials to the decorations and mere screws.
