Educational performance group Bash the Trash visited GA Lower School students on Tuesday, the day after Earth Day, to share its message of conservation.

The group's entertaining presentation combined music, science, and of course, trash to show students how items normally destined for the dump might find a second life . . . in this case as musical instruments. In fact, this environmentally conscious trio had created a veritable orchestra of instruments from the likes of woods scraps, empty Windex bottles, and old refrigerator drawers.

The girls used their own instruments (their hands) to clap along to the string, wind, and percussion pieces performed by Bash the Trash, and walked away with a whole new understanding of what it means to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
