Health & Wellness

The guiding principle of the Greenwich Academy Health & Wellness department is the belief that good health results from the integration of physical, psychological, social, and emotional wellbeing. The Health & Wellness team works closely with parents, teachers, advisors, coaches, and outside professionals to support the unique needs of each girl. Working together to achieve these objectives, our faculty and staff include psychologists, nurses, licensed clinical social workers, learning specialists, and athletic trainers.

Core Programs

Signature Programs

Peer Leadership

US girls and boys leading, learning together

Every year seniors and freshmen come together for discussion and activities, sharing and support, friendship and camaraderie all year long.

Advisory

It’s like homeroom times 10

Each Middle & Upper Schooler’s advisor acts as her coach, cheerleader, advocate, and guide as she navigates the challenges of the school year.

Big/Little Sisters

At GA, leadership starts early

In Middle & Lower School each division’s “seniors” mentor younger girls, who in turn look up—and live up—to their big sisters.

Community Service

Engagement at every age

Through student-led service, GA girls learn about our local community and larger issues facing society—and that caring human beings who can make a difference.

Speakers & Guests

We bring in accomplished and compelling guest speakers throughout the year to work with our entire community—students, faculty, and parents. Recent visitors include:

  • Rachel Simmons: educator and author of Enough As She Is, Odd Girl Out, The Curse of the Good Girl
