Upper School Dance Residency Program

Each year Greenwich Academy’s Upper School invites practicing professional artists to participate in its dance residency program. In addition to teaching dance classes, resident artists choreograph a piece for one of the dance program’s annual concerts. Most residents have professional dance companies who come to perform for the students during the course of their residency. These visits and performances are often informal and give students the chance to discuss their thoughts and reflections about the work with the artists, who also benefit from student feedback.

Visiting artists
In addition to its residency program, GA also invites artists to campus to perform and teach master classes. These shorter visits from practicing artists complement a student’s overall study with GA’s permanent dance faculty.
