Dance Classes
Dance I/II is available to Group IX through XII students during any or all trimesters as an alternative to PE. This option is ideal for any student who would like exposure to dance. It includes three weekly classes, which focus on technique as well as composition, improv, Pilates, yoga, partnering, conditioning, dance history, or dance repertory. Levels are determined by the instructor.

Dance Corps
The Greenwich Academy Dance Corps is the resident dance company, comprised of students from Groups IX through XII who have been selected for their technical ability, interest in creative expression, and commitment to dance. Once selected from an audition process each August, Dance Corps members are invited to participate for the duration of their time at GA. Dance Corps members are required to take dance class as an alternative to PE at least two trimesters during the school year. A commitment to Dance Corps includes rehearsal on Monday evenings and most Sunday afternoons to prepare for our winter and spring concerts.

Junior Dance Corps
The Greenwich Academy Junior Dance Corps is a mixed level dance company, comprised of students from Groups IX through XII. Junior Dance Corps is ideal for students interested in gaining more dance knowledge and performance opportunities, as well as those wishing to participate in Dance Corps in the future. Auditions for Junior Dance Corps take place in August. Members are required to take dance class as an alternative to PE at least one trimester during the school year. A commitment to Junior Dance Corps includes rehearsal on Thursday evenings to prepare for our winter and spring concert concerts.
