Center for Public Purpose

GA’s Center for Public Purpose empowers Upper School students to cultivate their innate calling by exploring the many and diverse pathways to effect positive change. Whether addressing the needs of our local community, participating in civic engagement, or collaborating with global peers, GA girls emerge as compassionate changemakers with a unique capacity to shape the world.

Service Leadership

GA girls contribute thousands of service hours annually, cultivating empathy, awareness, purpose, and leadership skills.

Civic Engagement

Students learn to advocate for change by analyzing critical social issues, evaluating diverse perspectives and developing solutions.

Global Citizenship

GA cultivates socially responsible global citizens, equipping them with the skills to navigate and lead in an increasingly interconnected world.

Toward the Building of Character isn’t just our school motto, it’s a call to action and a cornerstone of the Greenwich Academy experience. Upper School students have always embraced the importance of living out this charge. Our service leadership, civic engagement and global citizenship programs reinforce and activate the core values of Greenwich Academy.”
