Campus & Directions

Greenwich Academy is located on a 39-acre campus in central Greenwich, approximately 25 miles from New York City and 47 miles from New Haven. Campus facilities include Ruth West Campbell Hall, buildings for the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools, and the Ridgeview Avenue Campus that accommodates the Pre-Connecting and Connecting (Pre-K and Kindergarten) classes.

Facilities

Patsy G. Howard Upper School

Includes 20 classrooms, 5 science laboratories, a student center, a 20,000-volume library with space and technology to serve both the Upper and Middle Schools and various support spaces, conference rooms, and offices.

The Middle School

Renovated in 2009 and awarded LEED Silver certification from the US Green Building Council. Green features include photovoltaics and daylight harvesting. Includes 23 classrooms, three science labs, an art studio, and a computer lab.

The Lower School

Includes 8 classrooms for students in Groups I-IV. There is an art studio, computer lab, music room, science lab, and library. Additionally, there are support spaces for tutoring and counseling, as well as a large playground. 

Ridgeview Avenue Campus

Home to our youngest students, includes the newly constructed Pre-Connecting building and a renovated Connecting building. Includes a shared garden, large playground, and a soccer field.

Libraries

The David W. Wallace Library for lower schoolers, and the Jean and David W. Wallace Library for upper and middle offer a full range of digital resources, as well as 30,000 print volumes.

Performing Arts

The Wallace Performing Arts Center includes 400-seat Massey Theater, choral rooms, Black Box theater, scene, prop & costume shops. Other facilities: Young Auditorium, Pethick Dance Studio.

Purchased in 1950 and named for the longest-serving head of school, RWC contains administrative offices, the Noble Room, and the school store.

Main Campus

Directions

Greenwich Academy is located at 200 North Maple Ave. in Central Greenwich. 

Parking

There is marked visitor parking at the top of the circle. Visitors are also welcome to park in any unmarked spot, on the circle or in the side lots by Massey Performing Arts Center and the tennis courts. Parking is also available in the lower lot, reached by taking a left at the main campus exit.

Ridgeview Avenue Campus

Directions

The Ridgeview Ave. campus is at 16 Ridgeview Ave., about half a mile from the main campus.

Parking

Visitors are welcome to park in any available spot.
