The GAINS (Girls Advancing in STEM) Network, founded by Greenwich Academy, is the online social network for girls and women with a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math.
The network was established to encourage and support girls interested in STEM fields through interactions with their peers and female role models. Such relationships enhance self-confidence, increase awareness of career options, and help develop and empower female STEM leaders on a national and global scale.
Led by GA, GAINS Network member schools are working together to build a strong female STEM community amongst their students and alumnae, connecting them with STEM professionals who are interested in sharing and discussing their experiences. The network also helps establish mentor relationships between network members and provide networking opportunities within these fields. Members may connect with each other through blogs, group discussions, and virtual mentoring events discussing everything from research papers to graduate programs to career progression.
