2008-2009 Annual Fund
The 2008-2009 Annual Fund needs you, this year more than ever.  As you reflect on your days at GA, remember that there are girls right now following in your footsteps. Make an impact today and be a part of their meaningful experience, as alumnae before you did for you when you were a student. Your gift---no matter the size---makes a difference and here's how.  Our goal is for 30 percent participation from our alumnae by June 30, 2009.  See where your class stands with this year's Annual Fund.

Thank you to those alumnae who already have made a gift!

Greg Mortenson to visit GA!
On Tuesday, April 14, 2009, Greg Mortenson, the best-selling author of Three Cups of Tea and an authentic humanitarian, will visit Greenwich Academy for a day of assemblies and discussions with students in all three divisions.

Mr. Mortenson's journey as a founder and now director of the Central Asia Institute and Pennies for Peace began in September 1993 when he stumbled into the village of Korphe, Pakistan, after a failed attempt to climb K2.  This misstep led him to embrace and change the lives of thousands of Pakistani and Afghan children as he vowed to build a school for the people who had helped him when he was lost and hungry. His mission expanded as he recognized the urgent need for education of the children of these countries.  Currently his foundation has built 78 schools, which have educated more than 28,000 children, including more than 18,000 girls who had been denied educations.

This event is presently open to alumnae on a first come, first served basis. In order to anticipate and meet the needs of our community, we encourage you to respond as soon as possible. RSVPs may open to others in the GA community at a later date. All three of Greg Mortenson's assemblies for students at GA on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, will be broadcast as a live simulcast event on campus. Check the website for more information or to register for the event.  All alumnae are welcome, however unfortunately we cannot accommodate guests.  Please consider public transportation or carpooling as parking will be at a minimum.  We hope you will join us for this momentous event!

TECH ACADEMY
GA is having a Tech Academy from June 22-26, 2009!  Be a part of it!  Do your children seem to know more about computers than you? Do you wish you understood what your kids were doing with Facebook, texting and chats? Do you need to keep track of and finally organize all those digital pictures from your family vacations? Would you like to make your own videos? Do you want to make the most of the Internet? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then GA's Tech Academy for Parents is for you. Register for just one half-day session, or come for the full week! Multiple workshops, taught by GA's very own tech department faculty, are offered daily to meet your needs. Visit the website to register or learn more!
