PSAT(Preliminary SAT): A practice test consisting of three sections--Verbal, Mathematics and Writing. These scores are NOT sent to the colleges. The PSAT is designed as a teaching tool to help students begin to understand their testing strengths and weaknesses. Students are registered for the PSAT by Greenwich Academy and billed through the school store.

SAT I: The SAT I is a three-hour, primarily multiple-choice test that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning skills that students have developed over time. Most colleges require SAT I scores for admission. Students must register for this test on their own. Registration booklets are available in the College Counseling office. SAT II: SAT II tests are one-hour, primarily multiple-choice tests that measure a student's knowledge of particular subjects and her ability to apply that knowledge. Many colleges require or recommend one or more subject tests for admission. Students must register for this test on their own. Registration booklets are available in the College Counseling office.
