Early dramatic play in the Pre-Connecting
and Connecting Classes leads to an understanding of the basic principles
of enacting a role, including choosing appropriate words and gestures
for realistic portrayal of character. Older students perform short
plays and puppet shows and learn to write their own scripts. Role-playing
can also be used in the classroom setting to help students understand
the dynamics of social relationships and the need for employing
problem-solving skills in everyday life.
